On October 28, 2026, the Healey-Driscoll administration announced that Jooyi Ryan has been appointed to the newly established Veterans Employment Opportunities Commission.
The commission falls under the purview of the Massachusetts Executive Office of Veterans Services (EOVS). It is tasked with identifying and eliminating barriers to employment for military veterans while enhancing pipelines to sustainable, high-quality careers across the Commonwealth.
Ryan, a retired U.S. Coast Guard Commander, also serves locally as an Employment Coordinator for the VA Boston Veteran Readiness and Employment Program. Upon her appointment, she expressed her commitment to supporting initiatives that align the unique leadership and technical capabilities of transitioning veterans with rewarding job opportunities in Massachusetts.
