Support Our Services
Each year the Cape & Islands Veterans Outreach Center serves thousands of veterans and their families living in the Cape & Island region.
Your year-round ongoing support is essential for the operational expenses needed to provide veterans with all of the services listed below; as well many of the services we need to add like housing for homeless Veterans and their families in each town on the Cape and transportation for veterans without vehicles.
Our major funding source is the Department of Veterans Services, which provides only the salaries of our staff. To deliver and sustain our current programs and services, and manage the increasing needs of our veterans, we must raise $325,000 of our operating budget annually.
Please support our Annual Fund to support the expenses required in delivering and expanding our comprehensive menu of services and the breadth of our outreach. All donations go directly toward supporting services.
You can start as small as sacrificing one small luxury a month to back to those who have served all of us.
THANK YOU.

Housing for Homeless Cape Cod Veterans
The housing project in Dennis is the first of this type of collaboration with a town on the Cape. The Town of Dennis, and the CIVOC and multiple community supporters are working together to build a new, five-bedroom home for otherwise homeless veterans, right within the neighborhoods for which they served.
Help us to construct, and maintain this home, as well as to replicate this project in all of the 15 towns on Cape. With your help, we can provide veterans with the comprehensive services which will empower them to achieve dignity and independence.

The Scholarship Program
Each year the Cape & Islands Veterans Outreach Center awards four $1000 scholarships, three to high school students who belong to a veteran family. The fourth is awarded to a student veteran and is given in memory of Captain Eric Jones, a Marine helicopter pilot who lost his life in Afghanistan. Captain Jones’ parents now reside on Cape Cod and are untiring advocates for the support of our veterans. We were honored when the Joneses gave us permission to name our first veteran scholarship awarded in 2015, the Captain Eric Jones Memorial Scholarship, in honor of their son.
The scholarships are awarded directly to the recipient – and not the institution they are attending. The intention is that these funds may be used to offset book costs, lab fees and other costs associated with attending college.
