Bob has a Bachelor of Science degree from Suffolk University, Boston, which included a student internship in the Non-Commissioned Officers Association. He served 20 years in the US Marine Corps Reserves with a communications background. Following that service, he worked for one year as a chaplain’s assistant and in disaster preparedness in the MA Air National Guard. His civilian work experience includes 20 years with Verizon, working again in the field of communications in various outside plant technician specialties.
Bob has been a member of the organization for 15 years, and a member-at-large of the Board for 5. During his tenure, he has been an enthusiastic supporter of both the organization and of veterans. His contributions include multiple facility maintenance tasks, all of which he has either completed himself or coordinated and supervised the crew necessary to complete the task. His advocacy for veterans has included outreach to the Union Veterans Council, and frequent dissemination of materials to Joint Base Cape Cod. Finally, he has coordinated the fund raising event held by a local car wash to benefit veterans, and arranged for educational presentations for the membership on second amendment rights as they pertain to veterans. Bob’s passion for the causes of veterans is long-standing and unwavering.
